Associated Compressed Air Services was founded by Jonathan Cunningham in 1979.

With prior experience with HPC compressors, Jonathan set out on a new venture installing, repairing and maintaining compressed air systems.

In 1990 Jonathan formed ACAS Engineering as a sole trader which still specialised in compressed air systems and pneumatic conveying but set up a new workshop in Salford, Manchester.

Aiding further expansion of the company, Jonathan relocated to Hewitt House on Winstanley Road in Orrell where both the office and workshop was expanded.

The requirements for additional space as the company continued to grow led to an expansion with an additional workshop in Tontine, Orrell, Lancashire in 2012 and an increase in workforce to three.

ACAS Engineering Ltd is born in 2015 with Matthew Pegg in charge of operations, Toby Cunningham in charge of engineering and Jonathan Cunningham as the managing director and a total staff of four.

ACAS Engineering Ltd relocates to Buckshaw Village in 2016 amalgamating both previous locations together into two brand new purpose built units and increasing the workforce to five.

ACAS Engineering Ltd employs two new engineers bringing the total to seven before moving to a 6000sqft unit in Walton Summit. A much larger workshop with a much higher capacity and extensive storage to better serve a continually growing customer base.

ACAS Engineering will celebrate its 50th year in the compressed air industry in 2029. We hope you’ll join us for the party!
