ACAS Engineering were approached by a large multi-national injection moulding company to neaten both the appearance and the function of the process surrounding the manual heating and cooling of the enormous mould blocks.

The operatives were having to reach inside a web of hoses to get to valves which were poorly sited and poorly labelled. ACAS modified the procedure to simplify it then designed, built, installed and successfully tested a manifold which improved the safety of the operatives, increased the morale of the operatives, reduced the level of wastage of cooling and heating fluids, eliminated spillage and most importantly; significantly reduced the downtime of the machinery.
